About Age of Athena

Age of Athena is a video slot from G. Games featuring 5 reels and 4 rows. This slot utilises a ‘ways’ mechanism, awarding wins for matching symbols from left to right across the reels. The game includes features such as scatter symbols, free spins, and a Money Respin feature, with a maximum potential payout of 1250 times your stake. You can place bets ranging from £0.10 up to £2.00 per spin.

Game Features and Symbols

  • Scatter Symbol: The ‘BOAT’ symbol acts as the scatter. Landing three or more scatters anywhere on the reels will trigger free spins.
  • Money Respin Symbol: The ‘OLIVE’ symbol initiates the Money Respin feature when six or more land in a single spin.
  • Special Prizes: Some ‘OLIVE’ symbols may display ‘MINI’, ‘MINOR’, ‘MAJOR’ or ‘GRAND’. Landing one of these awards the corresponding prize shown above the reels.

How to Play Age of Athena

  1. Choose your desired bet amount using the bet control buttons (£0.10 minimum, £2.00 maximum).
  2. Press the Spin button to begin the game.
  3. You may also start a new game by pressing the space bar.
  4. Access the paytable by pressing the '?' button to view payouts and game features.
  5. Use the sound button to toggle game sounds on or off.
  6. The rules of the game can be found in the Game Rules section within the menu.

Money Respin Feature

When six or more ‘OLIVE’ symbols appear on the reels, all other standard symbols are removed except for the ‘OLIVE’ symbols. The Money Respin feature then begins, granting three respins. Each time at least one new ‘OLIVE’ symbol lands, the respin count resets to three. The feature ends after three consecutive spins with no new ‘OLIVE’ symbols. At the end, the values on all ‘OLIVE’ symbols are added together and awarded as a prize. If any ‘OLIVE’ symbol displays ‘MINI’, ‘MINOR’, ‘MAJOR’, or ‘GRAND’, the relevant prize above the reels is awarded in addition to other prizes.

Free Spins Feature

Free spins are activated when three or more ‘BOAT’ scatter symbols land anywhere on the reels. The number of free spins depends on the number of scatters:

  • 3 scatters: 10 free spins
  • 4 scatters: 15 free spins
  • 5 scatters: 25 free spins

During free spins, after the initial payout, three or more reels containing ‘ATHENA’ symbols can form a win even if these symbols do not appear on consecutive reels. Free spins are played using the stake and paylines of the triggering spin.

Retriggering Free Spins

If three or more ‘BOAT’ scatter symbols land again during the free spins round, additional free spins are awarded according to the same table above.

Payouts and Win Limits

  • Only the highest winning combination is paid per way; however, wins on different ways are added together.
  • The maximum payout for a single spin is capped at 1250 times your stake. In some cases, the operator may set a different win cap, which would override this amount.

Definitions

  • Scatter: A symbol that can trigger free spins when three or more appear anywhere on the reels.
  • Grand, Major, Minor, Mini: Prize levels associated with certain ‘OLIVE’ symbols in the Money Respin feature, awarding the amount displayed above the reels when triggered.
