Is Horse Racing Fixed or Rigged? And What About Virtual Racing?

Have you ever wondered whether horse racing is fixed or rigged? In this Wizard Slots blog post, we will investigate whether horse racing and virtual horse racing can be rigged. We'll also share the reasons why horse racing is so unpredictable.

Is Horse Racing Fixed?

Horse racing is not fixed. There are a few reasons why some people believe otherwise; all are untrue. For example, some believe horse racing is fixed simply because they did not win their bet. Horses are unpredictable, so it would be impossible to accurately choose a winner every time; therefore, you are more than likely going to lose some races.

Another reason someone could think horse racing is fixed is when a horse that typically always loses suddenly wins. This isn't a valid reason to think horse racing is fixed. You never know which horse is going to win the race due to all of the uncontrollable factors at play in a race. It is completely unpredictable.

Can Horse Racing Be Rigged?

Cheating is unacceptable in any sport, including horse racing. If horse racing were openly rigged, then it would be cancelled. Of course, like with anything, there are always going to be people who try and cheat

It is extremely rare for cheating to occur in horse racing, but it has happened. Cheating in horse racing could involve purposely holding horses back, enhancing a horse's performance with drugs, or collusion.

Although you may be concerned that horse racing could be rigged, this is not something to worry about as strict measures are put in place to prevent any cheating. Some of the measures in place to ensure horse racing is not rigged include placing cameras in the stables, carrying out regular BHA (British Horseracing Association) checks, and veterinary checks. If the BHA has any concerns, fines and bans can be given to those found responsible.

Is Virtual Horse Racing Fixed?

Virtual horse racing is a digital race that uses a Random Number Generator (RNG) to produce a random outcome. Virtual horse racing is not fixed, as nobody can predict what the outcome is going to be.

The results in virtual horse racing are controlled by the RNG, which ensures that the outcome of each race is entirely random and unpredictable. The RNG is also audited to ensure it meets a certain standard of randomness and fairness.

Why Is Horse Racing So Unpredictable?

Horse racing is considered to be one of the most unpredictable sports. The excitement of any horse being able to win is what leads many people to horse racing. There are many reasons why horse racing is unpredictable.

Firstly, horses are living beings. You cannot predict their behaviour, energy levels, mood, or response to the surroundings on race day or any other day. Something else that makes horse racing unpredictable (especially in the UK) is the weather. The weather and track conditions will only be truly apparent on the day. Other factors making horse racing unpredictable include how the jockey is feeling, trainer decisions and the horse-jockey relationship.

So, with all of these different factors at play, it can be anybody's race.
