Micro Knights Slot Game Overview

Elk Studios brings you a colourful and entertaining game with potentially entertaining features. The game's outline seems inspired by chess, and you can see that the organisers had taken their time with it. For one, the attention to detail is excellent. And then, the high-quality graphics can make you appreciate the game even more.

You may mistake this slot for a regular smartphone game. That is because everything in it, including the grid, is so small and fitted in carefully like tiny pieces of a puzzle. As a result, you can only get the complete picture of the surrounding background if you activate landscape mode.

Enough said about the slot's visuals. Let's look at the gameplay. It uses a cluster pays system, so a group of five or more uniform symbols in a cluster can result in a win. If this happens, the cascade mechanics can come into play, causing the winning symbols to fall off the grid for new ones to replace them. This mechanism could result in a chain of potential wins. And what's more, you could potentially trigger a host of other features too.

The maximum possible payout you can amass in this slot is worth up to 2,500x your stake. This amount is relatively lucrative for a game with medium to high variance.

Stakes range between £0.20 to £4 per spin on top online slots site Wizard Slots. So, you can play it for any amount you choose if you log in or join Wizard Slots. You can continue reading to learn more about this game, or hit the play button below to start playing.

How To Play Micro Knights

One good quality of this slot is the tidiness of the interface. There aren't many buttons lying around the screen. Instead, you get just three buttons, which are well-arranged below the grid. One at the left end, one at the centre, and one at the right end.

The button in the left corner is a stack of casino chips, representing the stakes button. You can press it to see and select your preferred bet amount. But for every other setting or information, you can refer to the menu represented by the three-line button at the left end.

Once done with the menu - perhaps you've finished reviewing the paytable and rules, or adjusting the settings, you can exit by tapping the three-line icon again. That will take you back to the main game screen, where you can click the centre spin button to begin!

The gameplay, unfortunately, can be a bit more complex than the interface. However, if you're familiar with real money slot games like Reel Rush 2, you might get the hang of it faster. Also, since this is a cluster pays slot, you only need to get at least 5 uniform symbols in a cluster to form a winning combination and clinch a possible payout! A cluster can potentially accommodate as many as 20+ characters, and the bigger cluster you land, the larger your potential payout!

Symbols

The paying symbols in this slot are split into two groups of four each: The low-paying characters and the premium animal symbols.

The low-value symbols include a meat chunk, a well, a bull's eye target, and a mushroom. Each offers a different worth, excluding the meat chunk and water well, which can offer up to 10x your stake for landing 20 or more matching symbols in a cluster. The remaining two - the bull's eye and mushroom can earn you up to 15x and 20x your bet, respectively, if you hit the maximum range of 20+ symbols within a cluster.

Meanwhile, the Premium symbols include bunnies, frogs, goats, and bulls.

  • Bunnies can earn you up to 100x your stake for 20+ symbols;
  • Frogs can fetch you up to 150x your wager;
  • Goats can award up to 200x your bet; while
  • The bull can potentially payout a considerable amount of up to 250x your stake. All for a cluster consisting of 20 or more identical symbols.

Other symbols worthy of note in the slot include;

  • The wild - a golden goblet marked W- can substitute for other symbols (bar the bonus symbols) if it lands.
  • The bonus symbol - a regal crown, can potentially trigger the bonus round and earn you free spins if you land up to three in a spin.

The Queue Feature

This feature can trigger randomly at any time during the base game. And if it does, the Charging Knight, usually at the left of the grid, can run across the grid and push one row off. The symbols in the row will then line up in a queue below the grid so that identical symbols can potentially pool together.

The feature's essence is to help you complete possible winning combinations. Here's how it works - if you have a cluster of matching symbols on the grid that's yet to be complete, let's say three. And there's one or two that correspond with them on the queue. The ones on the queue will join those on the grid. However, the symbols on the queue clear after every spin.

Meanwhile, there's a Smashing Knight at the top-left of the grid, and like the Charging Knight, it can activate randomly. Its function is to add one to each symbol counter in the queue.

The Feature Flag

Besides the two Knights, you might notice a win meter at the top-right of the grid. The meter can record any winning cluster you succeed in getting; if filled, it can award you a feature flag. The following are the feature flags you can possibly trigger;

  • Inferno - causes the dragon to release a fire that'll consume all the low-value symbols on the reels.
  • Extra Wilds - can allow between 3 and up to 15 wilds to appear on the grid in random positions.
  • Super Size - adds a big symbol capable of occupying up to 4x4 of the grid.
  • Charge - can move about two to five rows of symbols off the grid to the queue.
  • Epic Charge - acts just like the charge but moves all symbols instead.
  • Boosted queue - utilises the symbols in the queue to make possible winning combinations.

You may keep getting the above features if you keep landing winning combinations to fill the meter. However, note that the meter resets after every spin in the base game.

The Bonus Game

You need at least three bonus symbols in view to trigger the bonus game and get five free spins. The bonus game follows the same pattern as the base game. But the queue and win meter don't reset between spins like during the base game.

And what's more, there's the potential to retrigger another 5 free spins if you land a new set of three crowns in a single spin. However, this can only happen once to grant you up to 10 possible free spins.

Micro Knights RTP

Return To Player (RTP): 96%

The RTP is a theoretical value and is shown as a percentage. It’s used to describe the percentage of money wagered a particular casino game may pay back to players over a certain period of time.

For example, if a game had a RTP of 92%, in theory, this would mean that for every £100 wagered, the game could return £92 back to players in potential winnings. However, it is important to note that winnings are completely random, and players are not guaranteed to receive this.
