Game Overview

Rich Wilde and the Tome of Insanity is a 5-reel, 5-row online slot developed by Play'n GO. The game utilises a cascading grid format, where symbols fall into place to form combinations. Each bet can be selected from a minimum of £0.10 up to a maximum of £5.00 per spin.

How to Play

  • Select your stake using the plus and minus buttons to adjust the bet in set increments.
  • Begin the round by pressing the Spin button.
  • Symbols will drop onto the 5x5 grid. Winning combinations are formed when four or more identical symbols connect horizontally or vertically without gaps.
  • After a win, the symbols in the winning clusters are removed and new symbols drop down, filling the spaces. Cascades continue until no further winning combinations can be made.
  • All wins are paid and displayed at the end of each game round. The bet value remains fixed during any ongoing round or feature.

Winning Clusters

Wins are counted when four or more matching symbols are connected horizontally or vertically. Multiple winning clusters in a single round are added together, including any feature or bonus wins. Only the highest win per winning symbol combination is paid. Cluster wins can begin anywhere on the grid and must not have gaps between winning symbols.

Wild Symbols and Special Features

  • WILDS: Substitute for any symbol to help form winning combinations.
  • BOOK WILD: Can activate portal effects, giving access to additional features.
  • MULTIPLIER WILD: In the base game, these can carry multipliers of 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x; in the bonus game, they may be worth 2x, 3x, 5x, or 10x. If more than one is present in a winning combination, only the highest multiplier is applied. If both a Multiplier Wild and a Yog-Sothoth Wild are present, their multipliers combine multiplicatively.
  • YOG-SOTHOTH WILD: This is a 2x2 wild symbol that moves to three different positions on the grid, enhancing winning opportunities with its multiplier.

All-Seeing Eyes and Portal Features

  • ALL-SEEING EYE: May appear in the base game or in the DAMNATION FREE SPIN. Landing a win on an Eye’s location in the base game awards 2 to 4 Book Wilds after cascades finish. In DAMNATION FREE SPIN, opening all Eyes on the grid summons the Yog-Sothoth Wild, while opening 4, 5, or 6 Multiplier Eyes upgrades it with 2x, 3x, or 4x multipliers respectively.
  • PORTAL: Winning symbols contribute charges to the Portal. Earning 8, 16, or 30 charges awards 2 to 4 Book Wilds each time. Wins from Book Wilds at these charge levels activate special Portal features:
    • HARVEST: At 8 and 16 charges, this feature targets symbols diagonally at two spaces away and in the orthogonal directions at three spaces away, destroying any present in those positions.
    • ABOMINATION: At 30 charges, this upgrades a gem symbol to a ritual item.
  • DAMNATION FREE SPIN: Reaching 48 charges guarantees this free spin round with three Portal features. The Portal can be overcharged; for every four extra charges (winning symbols), one more Portal feature is added, up to a total of seven. After each cascade ends, a random Portal feature is triggered until all are used. The feature ends once all Portal Effects are completed.

Game Rules and Payout Information
