James Bond Roulette Strategy Explained - Does It Work?

Did you know there was a strategy in roulette called the James Bond roulette strategy? Sounds pretty cool, right?

Follow our simple guide on the James Bond roulette strategy below. Learn what the James Bond roulette strategy is, how to play, and what the odds of winning are.

As no roulette strategy can enable you to win in roulette, please note this content is for informational purposes only.

What Is The James Bond Roulette Strategy?

The James Bond roulette strategy is a flat betting system. This means that with every round, you place the same bet.

It’s a system that covers many numbers on the wheel, strategically placing different-sized bets; however, like James Bond, it can also leave you in a tricky situation!

How Does The James Bond Roulette Strategy Work?

James Bond is no stranger to a casino, and although his game of choice was typically baccarat, he occasionally played a game of roulette. But what was his strategy?

The James Bond roulette strategy is fairly straightforward. Although these pay less, wins are theoretically more likely to come in. To use this betting strategy, you need 20 betting units.

We’ll explain how the James Bond roulette strategy works through an example to make things clearer for you. Let’s imagine that £1 is our value for a single unit. For every round, you would need 20 units, so £20. As you can see, this strategy has the potential to become quite costly, and losses can stack up quickly.

Next, it’s time to place your bet. This is the formula you must follow for the James Bond roulette strategy:

  • 14 units (£14) on the outside bet 19 - 36 (high numbers)
  • 5 units (£5) on the line bet covering the numbers: 13 - 14 - 15 - 16 - 17 - 18
  • 1 unit (£1) on the inside bet 0

After seeing this, you have probably worked out that this covers the majority of the numbers on the roulette wheel, bar the numbers 1 - 12. With this strategy, you’re covering over two-thirds of the roulette wheel.

James Bond Roulette System Odds

For 14 units, the payout is 1/1. Using our example above with £1 per unit, if you were to place a bet of £14 and the roulette wheel lands on either 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 26, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, or 36, you would win £14 and keep your stake of £14.

For 5 units, the payout is 5/1. Using the James Bond roulette system, you would place 5 units (£5) on a line bet. So, if the roulette wheel lands on one of the numbers 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18, you receive £25 in winnings.

For 1 unit, the payout is 35/1. With the James Bond strategy, you would place a £1 bet on 0. This means that you would win £35 if the wheel lands on 0.

Does The James Bond Strategy Actually Work?

Strategies in roulette, like the James Bond strategy, are simply a way of making the roulette casino game entertaining or providing a new betting structure.

However, there is no proof that using the James Bond strategy will help you win roulette. It’s always worth remembering that whether you use the James Bond strategy or not, the casino always has an advantage over the player because of the house edge. In the end, the casino always wins.

Do Casinos Allow The James Bond Strategy?

Yes, you can use the James Bond strategy when playing roulette at an online casino. One of the upsides of using the James Bond Strategy is that you are covering most of the roulette wheel with the bets you need to make. In fact, you’re covering 67.6% of the table.

However, the James Bond roulette strategy doesn’t cover the numbers 1 - 12, allowing for a third of the wheel to potentially result in a loss for you. Since you are covering so many numbers with different bets, this can be a costly strategy, and if things don’t go your way, losses can quickly stack up.

Remember, like all roulette strategies, the James Bond strategy provides entertaining gameplay and has some benefits. However, it does not affect the house edge or guarantee a win.
