Types of Orphelins Bets 

There are 2 types of Orphelins bets in roulette; Orphelins En Plein and Orphelins En Cheval. Both bets use the same numbers but in different ways.

Orphelin’s En Plein 

Out of the two kinds of Orphelins bets, Orphelins En Plein is the simpler one. You need 8 chips to cover 8 numbers to make this bet.

The Orphelins En Plein bet is easy to make as it requires making 8 Straight Up bets. This strategy can be used in any roulette game, whether you’re playing American roulette, European roulette or any other type of roulette.

Orphelins En Cheval 

The Orphelins En Cheval strategy is slightly more complicated, but you’ll quickly remember the rules with a bit of practice.

Rather than placing 8 Straight Up bets on 8 numbers, the Orphelins En Cheval strategy requires you to bet on different Splits and a Straight Up bet. This uses 5 chips. 

How Do You Play Orphelins In Roulette? 

To place an Orphelins En Plein bet, you need to bet 1 chip on one of the following numbers:

1, 6, 9, 14, 17, 20, 31, 34.

To place an Orphelins En Cheval bet, you need to bet 1 chip on one of the following number combinations:

1, 6/9, 14/17, 17/20, 31/34.
